The Issue

As residents of Congressional District 3 (CD3), we are concerned that Representative Kiley is not doing the most important part of his job, which is to meet with the people he serves. He's supposed to be our voice in Congress. He's supposed to represent our needs and interests. How can he do that if he refuses to meet with us?

At the federal level, dramatic changes have taken place in a short period of time which will directly impact our lives and communities, yet there's been little to no communication from Rep. Kiley on what's happening, what we can expect and what he's doing to serve the people in his district. Many who have contacted Rep. Kiley's office have experienced the same things: requests to meet are ignored; calls and emails are not returned; and far too many questions remain unanswered.

The work of Congress is split between in session which is legislative work in Washington DC, and in district which is when they're expected to be in their district to meet with their constituents. Since being elected to Congress in 2022, Rep. Kiley has not hosted an in-person public town hall in his district.

Our request is simple. Instead of doing fundraisers in the Bay Area, or meeting with special interest groups and lobbyists, we request that Rep. Kiley host an in-person town hall that's open to the public during the next recess: March 13-16, 2025.

Please sign this petition if you agree that We the People in CD 3 deserve a town hall with our congressional representative. Thank you for supporting honest, transparent, responsive, and accountable representation.
