On Saturday morning, May 30, we had 7, 304 signers of our splendid Petition.
I appealed to dedicated Irish patriots and all who support human rights and fairness to rally to The Cause and recruit more signers.
One day later, on Sunday morning, May 31, we have 7,664 signers—an increase of 360, which is excellent.
My sincere thanks and congratulations to all. It just shows we can get many, many thousands to sign this splendid Petition, which perfectly expresses the hearts and prayers of all authentic Irish worldwide—and all supporters of human rights, unity, freedom, equality, and solidarity.
The Petition is free. Change.org offers the voluntary option to make a donation to promote the Petition. Please understand that donation goes to Change.org —not to the Irish National Caucus, as some have mistakenly thought.
Thanks again to everyone who is proudly taking a stand on this principle, which every nation and country in the world regards as sacrosanct. … So, why not Ireland?
Let us build up The Beloved Community in all of Ireland, north, south, east, and west.
The King Center explains that in the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., (who popularized but did not coin the term) the Beloved Community: “is a global vision, in which all people can share in the wealth of the earth. In the Beloved Community, poverty, hunger and homelessness will not be tolerated because international standards of human decency will not allow it. Racism and all forms of discrimination, bigotry and prejudice, will be replaced by an all-inclusive spirit of sisterhood and brotherhood.”
That is what our Petition stands for … Now let’s work in solidarity to get many, many thousands to sign it, for as Saint Pope John Paul II teaches, “ peace is the fruit of solidarity.”
God save Ireland.
Fr. Sean
