LEHT/TUCKERTON CONCERNED CITIZENS ASSOCIATION

We the citizens of Little Egg Harbor Township, Tuckerton and the surrounding communities sign this petition because of major concerns of the proposed Lennar homes project being placed in an environmentally sensitive area of Ocean County.  This proposed new development will contain 415 new homes and take away 146 acres of forested land.

Our Concerns Are:       

• Damage and impact of Barnegat Bay and its Estuaries
• Damage to wetlands
• Loss of known endangered species know to habitat at this property
• Traffic congestion which is already at its maximum
• Increase of emergency vehicles response time /Police, Fire, EMS
• Concerns of increase flooding throughout our communities
• Deficits to our aquifers according to USGS.GOV and Department of Environmental Protection
• Would our township be able to supply clean drinking water to our communities
• Is the MUA capable of handling all the wastewater
• Will there be enough water pressure for fire suppression throughout our communities which are prone to wildfires
• Infrastructure - Is our township capable of all the burden of this massive development
