McDonald's have expressed an interest in coming to Caterham. We very much support this as we believe it will be a very welcome addition to Caterham town centre and will be a very popular food outlet. 

The council are only getting a say as the shop units McDonald's want are owned by them, normally they wouldn't even have the chance to discuss it. There is a very vocal "older" minority who are objecting to the idea of McDonald's in the town. This smacks very much of snobbery. Your local councillors are very much against it. We believe this is very much despite their constituents wishes. 

The council meeting to discuss this is likely to be Thursday 30th November and we would like to demonstrate how popular this store would be.
