We Say No To Banning Cars On Shore Blvd At Astoria Park

The Issue

A decision is being proposed to close off Shore Blvd to vehicular traffic in the name of "safety". In the past protocols for safety have been put in place.such as the use of speed bumps. Now it is alleged that people only stake a claim and engine idel their vehicles. The truth is that many residents take their families over there to enjoy the waterfront view. This is a tradition that has been happening for generations. The closing of Shore Blvd will ruin this tradition and decrease the quality of life in the neighborhoods.
