We Sarawakians hope GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak) won't work with PAS (Parti Islam Se-Malaysia) to form the federal government after GE15.

Malaysia is a multi-racial and multi-religious country, we respect Islam as the national religion of Peninsular Malaysia.

However, the policies that PAS implemented in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah states affected much non-Muslim life. We are quite concerned about this unhealthy phenomenon will happen to the entire of Malaysia. If they keep pushing for the policy that will affect Non-Muslim life in parliament, it will cause most of the Sarawakians to live in fear!

We cannot allow this country to be fundamentally changed forever, once it has set foot such “religious extremism” cannot be reversed. We also can't ignore what's going on in Peninsular Malaysia because we have family and friends there. Many Sarawakians also reside in peninsular Malaysia. 

Sarawak is a harmonious state, with many ethnic groups, like Dayak, Malay, Chinese, Indian, Melanau, Iban, and so on. More than half of the population is Christian. The value of diversity and harmony should be respected.

We hope our Abang Jo can properly consider this from our harmonious perspective, to make Sarawak and Malaysia a good place to live!
