The health, welfare, social activities, business economics and public SAFETY will all be enhanced by building a new cell phone tower in the Pollock area community.  Coverage on Lake Oahe is a SAFETY necessity; just ask the ice fisherman who fell through the ice this past winter!  There have been boating, car and personal accidents where people who need help can't get it or help is delayed due to poor coverage.  Better cell phone coverage will eliminate or reduce delays in emergency responses.  Also, there is increased economic activity stemming from wind tower and oil line production, both of these industries need dependable communication lines.  Increased cell phone coverage will enable controlled economic growth for new and present businesses in the community.  State routes 10 and 1804 merge together in the town of Pollock, availing increased usage by commercial traffic.  Lastly, Pollock’s population doubles during fishing and hunting seasons which increases the demand for cell / data coverage.  Expansion, capacity and service quality will improve when a tower is built in Pollock, SD.   Please join us in our quest to have a new cell phone tower built for our community.
