The Moroccan Muslim people, numbering over 35 million, express their collective concern over this Family Code, which:

1. Contradicts Sharia Law: By altering the divine guidelines governing family matters, it risks undermining the moral and ethical fabric that binds our society.
2. Oppresses Women’s Inheritance Rights: The new provisions unfairly deviate from the principles of justice outlined in Sharia, depriving women of their rightful shares.
3. Complicates Marriage: The new regulations make marriage difficult for young men and women, threatening the structure of Moroccan families and societal stability.

Your Majesty, as the Commander of the Faithful, you have always been a beacon of justice, upholding the values and traditions of Islam while guiding our nation toward progress. We humbly implore Your Majesty to reconsider and revoke this Family Code, which contradicts the essence of the faith and morals that have long defined our cherished kingdom.

We trust in Your Majesty’s wisdom and commitment to preserving the identity, unity, and dignity of the Moroccan people. May Allah grant Your Majesty blessing life, strength, and guidance in continuing to lead this nation with honor and righteousness.

يا صاحب الجلالة، أمير المؤمنين، لقد كنتم دائماً رمزاً للعدل وحامياً للقيم والتقاليد الإسلامية، وقائداً يرشد أمتنا نحو التقدم. ونحن نناشد جلالتكم إعادة النظر في هذه المدونة وسحبها، لأنها تناقض جوهر الدين والقيم التي لطالما ميزت مملكتنا العزيزة.
