The horrific story last Spring of Sarah Shinsky being attacked near Downtown Santa Cruz in broad daylight could have been a story about any of our daughters or wives, sons or husbands, a friend. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!

Sarah and thousands of us responded to my petition, demanding INCREASED MENTAL HEALTH & ADDICTION FUNDING where it's needed MOST, right here in Santa Cruz! Through the leadership of Sheriff Jim Hart, Supvervisor Ryan Coonerty, and the rest of the County, and all of you, we passed Measure G on the November 2018 ballot to increase mental health and other services here in Santa Cruz.
