We oppose construction of high-density luxury housing on Beth Sholom site
The Issue
We, the undersigned strongly oppose the Comprehensive Re-Zoning Application # 24-CW21 for 1050 S. Tuttle: Proposed Amendment by Temple Beth Shalom (TBS) to the City's Future Land Use Map (FLUM) from “Community Office Institutional” to “Multiple Family High Density” (Proposed Amendment) for a variety of reasons that include but are not limited to the following:
• Inadequate stormwater drainage/management systems condition and capacity
• Dangerously increased traffic in an extremely congested area, between two close intersections
• Inadequate number of proposed attainable units, let alone truly affordable housing units.
• Loss of green space and mature trees from the site, especially at its southern edge.
We implore the City Commissioners, Please do not approve this rezoning application!
