It is every seniors' dream to walk across the stage during their high school graduation. We’ve longed for the day we would be walking the stage, turning our tassels, and closing this chapter of our lives surrounded by loved ones. We knew that all the sleepless nights, drama, and painful growing would suddenly make sense.

At Harmony Public Schools--a charter school system--our class sizes are much smaller compared to other public high schools. Because of this, we had to miss out on a lot of true high school experiences. We missed out on things like going to Friday night football games and watching spring musicals. Now we have to add another event to the list: graduation.

Even in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Texas school districts are still hosting real and in-person graduations. As we head towards the end of our high school career, we have one final request: we want a real graduation, a chance to finish the year strong with our classmates, teachers, and loved ones by our side.
