BREAKING: RICHARD BURGON MP TO PRESENT PETITION FOR A WINDFALL TAX ON BANKS AHEAD OF THE BUDGET

Just a quick note to say that it's confirmed that this coming Monday I’ll be presenting my petition for a Windfall Tax on banks in Parliament, just days ahead of the Autumn Budget. 

While millions across the country are struggling to get by, the big banks are raking in billions in extra profits from higher interest rates.

These higher rates are driving up mortgage payments and rents for ordinary people already hit hard by soaring food and energy bills.

Experts estimate that a Windfall Tax in line with that introduced for oil and gas companies could raise up to £15 BILLION per year to fund much-needed cost-of-living support and help rebuild our public services.
