Plymouth City Council have now released a statement via Plymouth Newsroom stating there will be NO nett loss of cobbles on the Barbican.
Having now looked through the architectural drawings for the project, I can announce that their statement is utter nonsense. They are removing a total of 610 Sq/m of cobbles and relocating 145Sq/m to the road just above the Admiral McBride Public House.
This action results in the loss of 465Sq/m of cobbles from the Barbican Area.
