The Government of the U.K. completely let down all British pet owners who travel abroad with their precious pets to the EU.   An expensive Animal Health Certificate Valid for Only 4 months ! and only into one point of entry is a ridiculous arrangement.  If a Ferry fails to sail as they often do, we can’t then just go to another Point of entry in the EU .  We are restricted to 90 days in every 180, gets complicated and since we have,  for example a dog, we must drive!   So, two AHCs per year ! and two trips back and forth covering thousands of miles also.  Please sign this petition , so that we can at least have a proper recognised U.K. issued Pet Passport. as us Humans do .  If the pet passport system worked for all the years before, why not now. An AHC is a ridiculous thing to have by any standards and even the Vets don’t want to do them it’s nothing but a pain .  They Must look at this again and make life easier for us British Citizens to travel to the EU with our pets.
