It has been a ongoing trend where people that fight dogs, neglect animals, abuse animals, and torture them. In majority cases people get off with probation and no true punishment from the suffering of animals. With Indiana's laws it makes it difficult for prosecution to bring harsher penalties and is often plead down to a misdemeanor. It is time for Indiana to follow it's neighboring state Michigan's laws and enforcing a statewide crackdown. If the penalties become harsher it will start showing these offenders that it is not okay and the animal community has had enough.
