In recent events, Rochester NY many emergency vets have either reduced their hours or now are closing. As a dog parent, white Spruce has saved my older dog many times before she passed. When she was seizing in my car that drive to White spruce was torture, I can’t imagine now a hour and half drive! That now some will have to do in order to save their pet! Rochester you need to do something, it’s time for a change! They are just not animals they are family! We shouldn’t need to depend on syracuse, buffalo or Ithaca!  

   Emergencies don’t just happen in the day time but anytime! We as dog parents deserve better! Also at a certain point the ones in buffalo, syracuse and Ithaca will be getting overwhelmed and won’t be able to take any more. Emergencies don’t just happen in the day time it happens anytime and no one has stated that this is an issue! I have created a petition to wake the city of Rochester up! But also want Thrive to be investigated in their acting approach of the vet service and reason behind all of these services being either reduced or closed! It’s not because they were looking for ways to stay opened it’s ways to save money and more money for them! No one for example at White Spruce knew about this until someone leaked it!! Once again Thrives attempt to just brush it under the rug!
 
  No I say no and say yes to change and more emergency and closer services for our beloved animals! I don’t want to hear the ‘excuse’ it’s still Covid’ no because it’s been a while since then and it’s not because people don’t want to work it’s because higher power such as Thrive have taken over and just want a cash cow and they know that we as animal lovers/parents will pay any money to save our beloved animals. Also in my option it’s animal abuse and cruelty to allow an animal to then suffer instead of getting immediate care!
 
   Chloe, she was my soulmate for 16 years she at the age of 15 had emergency surgery at white spruce for a thing called; Pyometra. No vet would take her but the emergency services did, she had within 24 hours left to live but they took her under her wing and treated her which then lead to them saving her life. They blessed me with another year of her before she passed due to kidney failure. But before that horrible route she suffered a seizure in my car, I called White Spruce right way and they were willing to take her as I was crying/screaming on the phone begging to save her. What felt like an hour drive was 20 minutes. They took her once again with compassion/ love and caring. They understood my pain, my love for my angel before she left this world. And that’s why not other person should feel the need to drive 1 1/2 to save their beloved partner! We need change and we need a solution, we are better than this. They deserve better!
