I am a fighter not a quitter. I am 76 years old and have worked by choice the past 12 1/2 years at a company called Landstar. I work because I need to stay mentally aware and have something important to do. On February 10th they plan to stop the ADA bus line for the disabled and elderly. They allege they are losing too much money. The fact is they have a 6 million dollar rainy day surplus, also the tax payers support the bus company through sales tax and stark county state funds as well as federal funds. The issue is not about me, it’s about older people who use it for work and other places, all rider have to quit or come up with 180$ a week or more depending on circumstances to get to work. A doctor has to certify the disabled. The federal ADA law does not discriminate, it was passed because there is a real need!
