“Españolan Cynthia Lentini spoke during public comments and brought up her petition to remove Vigil from city council.

“A lot of those people aren’t even residents of the people of Española,” Vigil said when asked what he thought of the petition. “I think it’s just people that are embittered employees, quite frankly. Miss. Lentini is an embittered former employee of the City of Española.”

The petition currently has 35 signatures and Lentini is asking for 50. It includes several reasons she wants Vigil removed including failure to professionally communicate with constituency, nepotism hires, allegations of misappropriated funding and multiple conflicts of interest.”

2. I’m not embittered but am a former employee
3. I can fill the council chambers with former embittered employees so the   can know the difference.
4. The only thing that kept me silenced was being a city employee but      did me an enormous favor by having his dog Sally Baxter send me a termination text. A mayor is not supposed to be involved in staffing issues: that is what a City Manager is for.
