Pla-Mor Roller Rink, a pillar in the Cleveland Skate Community has gone by many names over the years. Though one thing remains the same. We have created an environment of family. Through our love of skating and our love for this legendary rink. While we have continued to support our hometown rink there are several necessary and important changes that need to be made in order for skaters to not only feel safer but be SAFE. In turn to showcase this gem in the community and to keep it alive for many more years to come.

Our main concern is the structural state of the building, and a focus being the roof of the building. During regular sessions we make our way to the rink sometimes despite the weather. When the forecast calls for rain we have seen the ceiling leak, and by the gracious actions of owners we continue to skate with the accompanying of wet floors signs and swift clean up. Though this is a problem much greater than those beloved signs. Also some the amenities are in need of restoration and as well other elements inside the rink. The restrooms have yes, been repaired as of recently though we'd attend sessions and the sinks are out of order as well as the restrooms altogether. The seating itself is damp to the touch. Which suggests moisture build-up. There have also been complaints of mold which is also a cause for concern.

Thus-far we understand that the building has maintained its integrity and its dedicated staff has been more than welcoming and attentive. We would like for a deeper level of concern to be shown for the patrons who visit the rink and a greater emphasis on safety. And the result of that be those vital repairs, fixing and or replacing the roof and tending to these much needed improvements.

We are in need of the peoples support of this valuable cause. We love Pla-Mor and it is so dear to our hearts. We want to continue to gather here and share our passion for skating and to do so safely. We fear that the minor repairs that are being done will not suffice for the continual and immediate decline of the rink's structure.  Help us bring our cherished rink back to its full beauty.

Lastly, in order to make certain we can accomplish these much needed repairs. We are aiming to start fundraising on behalf of Pla-Mor Roller Rink. Giving our community of skaters and loyal patrons of the rink the chance to come together and make a difference.
