There are millions of stray dogs roaming around the street in the Philipines mostly homeless and others are because of their irresponsible owners due to fast increasing cause of accidental breeding on streets and unwanted births. 

The inhumane treatment is a common problem which is often associated with depriving of food, water and company, unmerciful killing that brings fear to it’s subject, and forcing it into overcrowded and unsanitary living conditions. Using violence against stray dogs include beating, burning, choking or suffocating, dragging, drowning, hanging, kicking or stomping, mutilating, poisoning, shooting, stabbing, and throwing is an example of Physical abuse that cause the animal pain, suffering, or even can lead to death.

Stray animals are mainly a human health hazard, because in some circumstances. The spread of diseases such as rabies, leptospirosis, and other parasites. Random attacks may also occur on humans and their livestock if stray dogs on the streets are not lessened. Many dogs here in the Philippines are being killed because they are treated as nuisances in our society. An average of 200 dogs are euthanized every month in each city pound. That is why we want to pursue this petition to stop inhumane killing of stray dogs. We will be cooperating with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in order to keep them in a shelter or in a safe environment. PAWS is a volunteer-based non-government organization whose goal is to prevent animal cruelty through education, animal sheltering, and advocacy. Animals also deserve freedoms like us humans. We believe that peaceful society starts with the widening of mankind’s circle of compassion, which includes animals, thereby envisioning a community that respects animals, practices responsible pet ownership, and protects wildlife.

It is crucial to refrain from using or abusing dogs for the sake of gaining clout or increasing views on social media. Exploiting animals in such a way not only reflects poorly on one's character but also sends a dangerous message to the public, normalizing the mistreatment of animals for personal gain. Dogs, like all animals, deserve to be treated with compassion, care, and respect.

When individuals use them as mere props or subject them to unnecessary harm for the sake of entertainment, it can desensitize viewers and potentially inspire others to engage in similar behavior. Furthermore, such actions can contribute to a culture that values attention over ethics, undermining the importance of responsible pet ownership and the bond humans share with animals. Instead of resorting to these harmful tactics, social media users should promote content that showcases the positive aspects of animal companionship, raises awareness about animal welfare, and

encourages kindness and empathy toward all living creatures.

In doing so, we can create a more compassionate, informed community that values the well-being of animals and promotes positive, ethical content online.

The main goal of our petition is to:

          ·    Protect and rescue abandoned dogs

          ·    Provide shelter and other basic necessities for the dogs that will be rescued

          ·    Prevent animals from loitering from communities
