Demand The Cricket Hollow Animal Zoo Be Closed Down Immediately

Demand The Cricket Hollow Animal Zoo Be Closed Down Immediately
The Issue
Cricket Hollow Animal Park also goes by the name Cricket Hollow Zoo
The Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF.org) started the job of rescuing animals at the Cricket Hollow Animal Park but, after rescuing only the "Headline Making" ones, they left almost 300 other animals behind to a life of continued animal abuse at the hands of the zoo's owners... WHY?
The last reported Financial statement ending in 2015 shows that the ALDF took in 14 million dollars in donations. There mission statement claims to represent and fight abuse and cruelty for all animals... so why is the ALDF allowing the animals at the Cricket Hollow Animal Park to a continued life of abuse?
We call on ALDF to finish the job they started and for the political leaders of Iowa to protect these poor tortured creatures and have them immediately remove and relocated to a facilities that will provide for their needs and care for them as they should be cared for.
The USDA has found the Cricket Hollow Zoo in violations hundreds of times. They have been issued Animal abuse violations in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
- Why is the state of Iowa refusing to close this Zoo down?
- Why did the ALDF choose to "Settle" with a zoo the judge called "deplorable"?
- In 2014 the courts agreed that the Tigers and Lemurs at the Cricket Hollow zoo should be removed by ALDF and relocated. So, why didn't the Animal Legal Defense Fund fight for the other 300 animals there as well?
- In 2016 the courts again found that the Cricket Hollow Zoo were abusing their Lions and allowed ALDF to remove them. AGAIN...Why, would the ALDF settle with the owners again, rather than push forward with the case and have this roadside zoo closed?
- Why are the politicians who represent the people of Iowa failing to fulfill their moral obligation in protecting wildlife?
The Animal Legal Defense Fund has now filed two lawsuits against this zoo in 2014 and 2016 and in each case they "Settled" without releasing any details of the settlement.
- What were the terms of this agreement?
- Was any money exchanged?
- What, if any assurances were given in the settlement that the remaining animals will receive proper care?
This zoo is an utter disgrace and a stain on the great state of Iowa and an awful reflection on their people. To allow this Zoo from hell to continue to operate is beyond the pale.
Iowa's own Des Moines Register newspaper featured an article on September 2, 2015, asking "Why is this zoo still open?"
www.Wildlifeplanet.com has extensive, detailed stories about the animal abuse taking place at the Cricket Hollow Zoo and how The Animal Legal Defense Fund failed them.
In the coming days will make aware the names of every politician representing the state of Iowa or the district for which the Cricket Hollow Zoo resides in.
We will also expose the failure of the ALDF and their board of directors. We will make contact with every donor that has generously given ALDF the funds to continue their operation and to inform them of what is happening.
Our site www.WildlifePlanet.net has numerous articles on the subject, so lack of information will never be an issue to anyone that is considering signing this petition.
