As an IT professional and active developer, my work environment is Linux—just like that of many other colleagues in the industry. One major issue we face is that Fortinet currently only offers native support for IPSEC VPN connections on Windows and macOS. As is often the case with large corporations, Linux is left behind and forgotten, which significantly limits my work and that of many others.

Linux powers 83.1% of all servers worldwide (Web Technology Surveys, 2022). It is truly alarming that major tech companies like Fortinet neglect to support such a vital and widely used platform. This lack of support not only hinders our ability to develop but also contributes to an uneven playing field in the industry.

We demand that Fortinet prioritize Linux support in the same way it has for other operating systems. We request the necessary updates to add native support for IPSEC VPN connections on Linux.
