Dear Nintendo developers,

We, the Nintendo community, have long wished for a real web browser on all Nintendo Switch consoles—including the Switch, Switch OLED, Switch Lite, and the upcoming Switch 2.

Many of us use the Nintendo Switch not only for gaming but also for discovering, learning, and looking up information. It would be incredibly helpful if we could open websites like Google Maps, Wikipedia, ChatGPT, or other informational sites directly on the console—without needing to use a smartphone or computer.

Earlier Nintendo consoles like the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U already had web browsers. They were simple but gave users a lot of freedom to browse the internet. We understand there are concerns about security and that Nintendo views the Switch primarily as a gaming device. But we believe that a modern, secure browser with parental controls can address these concerns.

A browser would make the Switch much more versatile and improve the user experience—especially for people like me who like to look up information or use navigation on the console.

We kindly ask Nintendo to develop and release an official, secure web browser for all Nintendo Switch consoles. This would be a great step forward and make many users happy.
