Purpose of the Petition

On April 10, I learned from news reports that the Prime Minister met with the overseas rock band 'Deep Purple' at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. Subsequently, I verified the facts through the official Facebook page of the Prime Minister's Office. This meeting was clearly based on personal preference and, as actions taken by the Prime Minister in a public position, I consider it inappropriate.

Blurring the line between public and private interests and using the time and resources of staff at the Prime Minister's Office, which are funded by taxpayers, for personal hobbies amounts to 'mixing of public and private interests' and can also be described as a 'breach of trust.' A leader whom the public should trust behaving in this way is a betrayal of the citizens.

To ensure governmental transparency and integrity, it is necessary to conduct a detailed investigation into the circumstances of this meeting and clarify how taxpayer money was used. As a member of the public, I appeal to the importance of this issue and request your signatures to urge appropriate action. I strongly hope that an investigation will be conducted and measures will be taken to prevent a similar situation from happening again.

By gaining the support of many people, we can enhance government transparency, enforce a strict separation between public and private matters, and restore public trust. We sincerely welcome the signatures of those who feel this issue is important and believe an investigation is necessary.

４月１０日に報道されたニュースで、首相が海外ロックバンド「ディープパープル」と首相官邸で面会したことを知りました。その後、首相官邸の公式Facebookでも事実確認を行いました。この面会は明らかに個人的な嗜好に基づいており、公的な立場にある首相としての行動としては、不適切であると考えます。

公私の区別を曖昧にし、税金で賄われている官邸の職員の時間やリソースを、個人的な趣味に私的流用することは「公私混同」に他ならず、「背任行為」とも言えるでしょう。国民が信頼を寄せるべきリーダーが、このような行動をとることは、国民に対する背信行為です。

政府の透明性と誠実さを確保するためには、このような面会の経緯を詳細に調査し、どのように税金が使われたのかを明らかにすることが求められます。国民の一人として、この問題の重要性を訴えるとともに、適切な対応を求めるために、皆さんのご署名をお願い申し上げます。調査が行われ、同様の事態が再び起こらないような措置が講じられることを強く希望します。
