We know that plastic pollution is destroying our oceans, but did you know that 35% of the oceans plastics, come from our washing machines?

I believe we need to force major manufacturers to rethink the way they make clothing, and we as consumers, need to change the way we shop.

It’s as easy as reading the label, just like you do with food.

Synthetic fibres like polyester and nylon are used to produce cheap, throw away clothing. The micro plastics released during washing have devestating effects on marine life.

I understand there is a need for these fibres in certain types of clothing that have specific needs, but to use them in everyday clothing such as cotton/polyester mix tshirts is just unnecessary and hugely damaging to the world we live in.

Please help raise awareness and together we can push the UK Government to force the fashion industry, to take responsibility for their plastic pollution.
