Over 1.1 million long haul covid patients are now in the UK. So far there is only one treatment showing success that is peer reviewed, science based, but our letter outlining it has been ignored despite initially receiving a positive response. 

We are concerned that GET is being promoted, despite patients having been cautioned against engaging in by NICE, the Scottish Government & Research companies, until our hearts have been scanned and also due to Post Exertional Malaise. Exercise can also allegedly have detrimental impacts on our health due to PEM. We need treatments that are science based. The Medical Director of NHS England also reiterated this some weeks ago in the press and we agree. At the moment there appears to only be one, we have been on it for 5 months and are getting better. Some patients have gone on to make a full recovery. 

We demand now that the Government safeguard long haulers now, take a look at the treatment that has been sat on their desk since January that is being trialled by many patients and is showing improvement across all 100% of patients on it. It costs 45 pence a day. Some patients have got back to work in 3,5 weeks, some completely recovered in as little as 8 weeks. 

This is a win-win situation for all: patients, the economy, social care, the NHS and Government. Please Prime Minister, intervene, we are dying to live. We need those 122,000 NHS workers and 114,000 teachers back to work. There are 39,000 social care workers and 43,000 children. We will share details of the treatment once we have tried to get it clinically trialled. Patients safety must come first and we have deep concerns about patients self medicating.
