We Ask for Mercy on Behalf of Amber Peery

We Ask for Mercy on Behalf of Amber Peery
The Issue
On October 8, 2022, a tragic car accident took the lives of three beautiful girls who were cherished by their families and deeply connected to our community. This heartbreaking event has left a lasting impact on the lives of many, including the driver, Amber Peery, and her loved ones, as she lost her beloved , [Redacted], in the accident.
Amber was convicted and incarcerated for 3 counts of involuntary manslaughter and 2 counts of aggravated battery. In a fight for her freedom and despite her hopes a jury would see that this is a tragic accident, she now is separated from her two surviving children as she awaits sentencing on October 3rd.
Amber is a devoted mother who has always strived to protect, cherish, and empower her children to lead strong, healthy, and productive lives. She was a stay-at-home parent for many years before seeking employment within her children's school district so she could be on the same schedule as them. She is a valued member of the Topeka community, and many have expressed a desire to stand by her and show their support.
A strong community is a merciful one. We plead for compassionate sentencing that considers the dire consequences for the children involved.
Thank you for your continued support.
