The New York Marathon is planned on the 7th of november 2021. It’s widely considered as ‘the mother of all Marathons’ and have many runners around the world it on their bucket list. It’s also a main charity event with thousands of runners gathering sponsoring to support good causes around the globe.

In 2020 the NYM was understandably cancelled due to the covid pandemic, and many of us have seen their subscription deferred to 2021. However, due to the current travel ban, a lot of inbound traffic to the US is still not allowed. For thousands of runners around the world who have a valid ticket, 50 days out it is still uncertain wether their training efforts will be lost or even wether they will see their money back (>500$) should they be unable to enter the country. All this while large parts of the world have reached a higher vaccination rate compared to the US. 

We believe vaccinated people impose no risk to the health of Americans and therefor we want:

- Exceptions on the travel ban to be allowed for people with a valid NYC Marathon ticket, especially those running for charity

- the confirmation that in the case of non event we are deferred to 2022 or get our money back (500$)
