Wayne is one of the largest school districts in NJ outside of the major cities, but has yet to join the other 80% of the state to provide a full day kindergarten for all of its children. There is mounting pressure from standardized testing and statistics that prove the numerous educational and social benefits of a full day kindergarten, but Wayne continues to only offer 2 1/2 hour sessions. Not to mention the deterrent this may be to potential homebuyers that are considering to move to Wayne with families. Please sign this petition in acknowledging this need for our children and advocating that our tax money be used where it is needed the most..In giving our youngest children the best educational start possible!
