The Utah State Legislature is working to pass a bill which would expand the authority of the state to implement toll roads throughout the state.  Sen. Niederhauser, R-Sandy is wanting to implement a toll road in Little Cottonwood Canyon and also Big Cottonwood Canyon.

As Utahns, these canyons are imperative to our communities and provide various recreational and educational opportunities to citizens across the Wasatch Front.  By enforcing a toll along these roads, our Utah representatives are neglecting the rights that Utahns have to freely enjoy the beauty and tranquility that these canyons have to offer.  

As residents, we already pay taxes to ensure that the upkeep and maintenance of these roads are in good order, so there is no need to add another fee  It is our right to use these canyons free of charge and by adding another tax, it violates the freedoms and liberties that Utahns deserve.

We must fight back against this tax and let our state legislatures know we strongly oppose this bill!
