URGENT! Animals lives at stake, running out of time! False accusations, civil rights violated! **Arrest Robert Gibson for criminal trespassing & burglary.
The Issue
ARREST Robert Gibson for criminal trespassing & burglary on the property of Jane Smith, reputable dog rescuer of 14 years. Mr Gibson is still out there & has been shown NO consequence for his actions. Do you think he may commit the same crime AGAIN?
We urge the Wayne County, OH Sheriff’s Office to act on the 5/29/14 police report filed with them, by Jane Smith, for burglary and criminal trespass of Ms. Smith's home.
At a hearing held in the Wayne County Municipal Court on 7/9/2014, on another matter, Mr. Gibson admitted to having trespassed on Ms. Smith's property, twice (on 5/12/14 and 5/14/14). During his sworn testimony, Mr. Gibson admitted to having reached his arm into Ms. Smith's window and to having entered the enclosed porch, through a closed door. He admitted to having seen a NO TRESPASSING sign near Ms. Smith's front gate. Mr. Gibson claimed that he was looking for his lost dog and could not reach Ms. Smith by phone or email, so drove to her home (neither the existence of the dog, nor any previous attempts at contact have ben verified), and illegally entered the property and her home, when she was not present.
Please take a few minutes to watch this video about a wonderful, exceptional woman, Jane Smith, who ran a very reputable rescue for 14 years and adopted out hundreds of dogs to forever homes. She also works with Guardian Rescues in NYC who train service dogs. The Wayne County OH Humane Society (a private 501c3) seized all of her animals including her own and her daughters in a grand scheme to bring in money for their floundering pound. This county is one of the most corrupt I have ever seen. The dogs have been suffering in tiny cages in the dark, cold garage for 6 months now. As you will see there is newspaper covering the windows so no one can see in. We have heard that they are starving the dogs and some are getting sick but no one, not Jane's vet or anyone else has been permitted to see them. The employees and volunteers were forced to sign non-disclosures because they didn't want the word to get out that these dogs were healthy happy dogs. Jane was found guilty on 44 counts of cruelty but they had no evidence to prove that. They broke into her home and absolutely destroyed it behind locked doors. After an hour of turning litter boxes over, breaking furniture, dumping garbage cans and spreading it everywhere, and more they called her and told her she had to come home. She had no idea what was going on. She called 2 of her volunteers to go to her house and they were in absolute shock. When Jane got home she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Jane had the presence of mind to take pictures but the dog warden, Diane Hudson, said "DON'T TAKE PICTURES OR YOU'LL BE ARRESTED." She was forced to pay $17,400 a month to keep her dogs from being killed. This was found to be unconstitutional in KY and is case law but the judge didn't care. As a matter of fact he disallowed any mention whatsoever of the extortion money during the trial. He disallowed everything. The assistant prosecutor was engaged to the vp on the WCHS board so should have recused herself. They got a continuance for 2 months so she could get married forcing Jane to pay the extortion money for 3 more months which of course was the motive all along. We think there was jury tampering because the bailiff was ushering in the jury in on the last day and looked straight at the judge and pointed at a juror's head. What was that?
The entire thing was predicated on a burglary. Robert Gibson trespassed and broke into her house pretending to look for his lost dog. Who knows if he even had a dog. He lives 90 miles away but claimed he heard his dog was there. Who put him up to this? When Jane's atty said, Your honor, this case should be suppressed because it was based on a burglary the judge responded, "I don't want to hear it"
Mr. Gibson must know what constitutes burglary and criminal trespass. Why is he immune from prosecution for these crimes in Wayne County, Ohio? Wouldn't others have been arrested or is it "open season" now for this type of crime in Wayne County?
Please forgive me for asking you again to sign this petition. Be sure to watch the video which so well explains the horrible story of corruption in Wayne Ct. OH involving a seize of all animals in the care of long-time reputable rescue Bright Futures. There are animals whose lives are hanging in the balance and their caretaker, Jane Smith who will be sentenced in just 12 short days. This is a civil rights case as well as an animal cruelty case and this county has been getting away with things like this for a long time. If it isn't stopped now it will happen again.
* kindly sign the petition and then take a couple of extra minutes to call the sheriff's office and ask them to reopen the case against Robert Gibson in regard to the Jane Smith case. Sheriff, Travis Hutchinson's number is 330-287-5750 and is also at the end of the video. You can just leave a message since it is doubtful he will come to the phone. The investigator would like as many calls as possible to be made to the sheriff. It could make a huge difference if we continue to put pressure on that office.
