Hi, my name is Zac Shovelton. I am 11 years old and a resident of Farncombe. As get closer to becoming a teenager I have realised that there is nothing really to do in Godalming. I think this is why there is a lot of teenagers messing around and getting into trouble, because they are bored. All of the parks are for little children and the clubs (rugby, cricket, football etc) are great - if your parents can afford them! This weekend I visited an amazing BMX track in Southampton. The track is free and people of all ages were having fun, enjoying the outdoors and keeping fit. Why can’t we have something like this in Godalming? Broadwater Golf Course has been disused for ages. Why can’t part of this be turned into a BMX track and Skatepark? Broadwater is Godalming’s biggest park, but it feels like the council spend the least on it! This could put Broadwater park on the map and make it a destination for families to visit. Who will also spend money with local businesses.
