Waste Management, Waterlogging and Safety Issues in Sector 37C & D, Gurugram

The Issue

We the undersigned residents of Sector 37C & D, Gurugram, are writing to bring to your immediate attention the deteriorating living conditions in our area, primarily due to the unchecked accumulation of garbage, persistent waterlogging, lack of streetlights, and the poor state of roads. These issues are increasingly posing severe health and safety risks to the residents, particularly children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions.

Despite consistent volunteer efforts to address these challenges, the situation remains critical and requires urgent intervention from the relevant authorities namely:

-The Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram

-The Chief Executive Officer, GMDA The Commissioner, MCG

-The Chairman, National Green Tribunal

-Shri Rao Narbir Singh, Hon'ble MLA of Badshahpur,Gurugram

Primary Concerns:
1. Garbage Accumulation: The area is plagued with piles of uncollected waste, leading to unsanitary conditions and an increased risk of disease.

2. Waterlogging: Stagnant water, especially after rains, has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other disease vectors, further endangering public health.

3. Road Conditions: The roads in Sector 37C & D are in a deplorable state, causing frequent accidents and inconvenience to commuters.

4. Lack of Streetlights: Several roads in Sector 37C & D have no streetlights, making the area prone to accidents and posing a major security concern, especially at night.

Our Requests:
1. Immediate removal of accumulated garbage and the establishment of a reliable, ongoing waste management system.

2. Resolution of waterlogging issues through proper drainage solutions.

3. Repair and maintenance of the roads to ensure safe travel for residents.

4. Installation of streetlights on all major roads to address safety and security concerns.

5. Regular monitoring and enforcement to maintain a healthy and safe living environment.

Given the urgency of these issues and their direct impact on public health and safety, we request immediate attention and intervention in resolving these matters.

Please help us bring the matter to the attention of the concerned authorities by signing and sharing this petition.

Sincerely,

Residents of Taksila Heights Society, Sector 37C, Gurugram
