Objection to Washington Township Wage Hiking Ordinance
The Issue
We, the undersigned, being registered voters of the Township of Washington, pursuant to New Jersey Statute NJSA 40A:9-165, do hereby object to the passage of Ordinance No. O02-2017 formally entitled "FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON". We understand this ordinance provides for an increase in the salaries, wages, or compensation of managerial, executive, and/or confidential employees for 2017. We hereby petition the Mayor and Council of the Township of Washington and especially the Township Clerk to place this ordinance before the public for a vote. We request that this ordinance remain inoperative unless and until a proposition for ratification thereof shall be adopted by a majority of voters at the next general election, November 7, 2017.
Pursuant to NJSA 12A:12-1, the undersigned agrees that their electronic signature has the same force and effect as their written signature on paper.
The undersigned has been apprised that they can opt-out and receive a paper copy of the petition, withdraw of consent to electronic signatures can be sent to bfmcbride@icloud.com, the IP address from which the signature was affixed is assigned to a device owned by the signatory or authorized for the signatory to use.
