Randy Spaulding, Director of Academic Affairs and Policy at the Washington Student Achievement Council, has communicated to us that "Following passage of HB 1472 we worked with the institutions to clarify the impact of the bill and provided guidance to school districts to ensure that AP computer science would count to meet high school academic distribution requirements for admission to the state’s public four-year colleges and universities." The University of Washington has confirmed that they will count AP Computer Science as a quantitative-based math credit towards admission requirements. Great news!
