I have heard news of how in 2050 there is expected to be more plastic in the ocean than fish. How this is acceptable is beyond me and why we can't send garbage to outer space I don't understand either. Money is not an excuse anymore and everyone needs to take action. Here in Snohomish county, in every apartment building I have lived in or visted, there is 1 dumpster for 200+ units. Not people, units. And NO recycling bin so we have no choice but to throw glass and plastic into the garbage dumpster. Also garbage trucks have garbage/plastic flying out the tops of them while driving down the road. Let's start by making it mandatory in ALL counties of Washington State, to atleast offer the option to recycle in residential areas.
