Hi friends!

Yesterday, a new bill (HB 1372) was introduced in the Washington State House to replace the statue of Marcus Whitman with activist Billy Frank Jr. (read more about him in our previous post. The bill was introduced by Rep. Debra Lekanoff, a Democrat from Skagit Valley, who is a member of the Tlingit tribe and the only Native American woman in the Legislature.

If you are a citizen of Washington State, we would encourage you to contact your representatives and ask that they support HB 1372. You can look up your representatives and email them using this template. If you are not a citizen of Washington State, please consider sharing this petition.
