Please help save the kitties!!! The Washington County Fairgrounds has sent notice to the Friends of Forgotten Felines to relocate cats that have been vetted and well fed from their premises and their feeding grounds. These cats help keep the rodents down for events and are not harmful to anyone. They are well cared for. The Fair board has shown no regard to what happens to these cats, but prior to this has allowed a feeding grounds to be built for these cats and allowed their presence and suddenly no longer wish to allow such and are giving 10 days for their removal.
        These cats have been deemed unadoptable due to being skiddish, not being mean, and as such, the Friends of Forgotten Felines has provided them with years of excellent care. The recent article in Marietta Times highlighting all cats there are the original cats from when it started in this location 6 years ago, so there is no pressing issue forcing hands to make such hard decisions that could potentially lead to all the cats being euthanized. There have been no harmful reported incidents that would influence such decision.
        Please if you can find it in your heart sign this petition to show the fair board you’d like to allow these cats to keep their home and stay at the fair for pest control. Without your help these cats could all end up euthanized and they did not ask for that life. We can save them if we show the fair board there is huge support for the colony to stay.
