The Dr. Michael, Superintendent with the BOE, emailed me, and I quote. 

"We are not asserting the effectiveness of mask, rather WCPS is requiring students and staff to wear masks to start the school year to avoid mass student quarantines."

So they are forcing depression, anxiety, isolation on our children for a protentional "what if". Let PARENTS decide the cost/ benefit of wearing a mask per their situation which is unique.
