Most people who have signed this petition know and love this wood and will have seen all the orange marks on the trees near the pylons.

Even though they had never been considered to be a problem before, for some reason Western Power had decided that these trees might fall on the cables and were planning to either fell or reduce them.

We wanted to let you know that thanks to a number of people writing to express concern about the rare birds, moths and bats known to be living in and dependant on these trees, Western Power have now cancelled their felling programme telling us how seriously they take their environmental responsibilities.
