We, the undersigned, demand that our elected representatives reconsider their plan to reduce funding to our fire and rescue service. We believe implementing the ‘response plan' proposed by senior Brigade management will have a serious & negative impact on our fire service and its ability to provide an appropriate response, thereby endangering the safety of ALL Warwickshire residents (and their property) and will put our firefighters lives at even greater risk. We strongly urge that County Council elected members:

· Do not persist with their plan to reduce funding for our fire service

· Do not accept a ‘response plan' that leaves the majority worse off

· Do not implement a plan that risks the lives of the community

· Do not accept a plan that risks the lives of our firefighters

· Do not reduce ‘guaranteed' fire cover during the night

· Do not scrap the current efficient service based on unreliable statistics

· Do not reduce the number of full-time (Wholetime) firefighters

· Do not reduce the number of part-time (Retained) firefighters · Speak to the firefighters and their representatives
