This petition is for any residents in Westy Latchford and surrounding areas in Warrington who feel that this plan affects them in a negative manner.  

Negative impacts to residents will be:  Massive Traffic Congestion, Additional Fuel Costs, Time lost, Inconvenience, negative financial impact on local businesses, air pollution equally transferred from one area to another...

This will impact many families, pensioners on low incomes who are already struggling.

This Plan not only affects residents who live in Westy Latchford but also ANYONE who commutes TO Westy Latchford or commutes THROUGH Westy Latchford to another destination on a regular basis.

Many Residents are extremely unhappy re WBC's claimed consultation with them on this plan (many state they have received/heard nothing at all from WBC).

The implications of making  'No Throughway' on Grange Avenue will only add to further congestion on an ALREADY BUSY Kingsway South.

The 'Orford' plan has been paused by WBC and it is only right that the Westy/Latchford Plan be paused too and treated in the same manner and allow residents to be consulted fully.  

We request therefore that this plan be paused by Warrington Borough Council and commence consultations with residents in a more and better improved manner before any decision made to change our roads is implemented.

Time to pause, reflect and then re-consult (in full) with ALL residents.

Additional Note:  Stockton Heath Swing bridge planned closure in the New Year for its renovation and we all know that this also is going to have a massive impact on Latchford Westy roads.
