For the last few years, JK Rowling has pushed a hateful, bigoted agenda against the trans community. Her hatred and inability to keep her mouth shut at this point seems pathological and demented. She once claimed (without cause) that trans people being able to identify as women (she doesn't go after trans men nearly as much as women) somehow takes away from her status as a female sexual assault survivor. This is outrageous and in no way true. Women aren't the only victims of sexual assault and trans men and women are heavily targeted for this kind of assault. Men are also victims.

I'm asking other sexual assault survivors, like myself, to stand up and say NO! No, we will not allow this false and dangerous narrative against our FRIENDS in the trans community to continue. No, we won't go see anymore Harry Potter related entertainment or visit any parks until Rowling is no longer affiliated or receiving money for them. If the Harry Potter fandom dies, that's on Rowling and her enablers, not us. I love it too. It hurts to turn my back on it. But Rowling turned her back on us and sold her soul a long time ago.

Please, do not sign this petition if you are apart of a small group who is doxxing Rowling. You're not helping and commiting abuse yourself. That's not how you bring about change. It's how you get a criminal record and make us all look militant. Rowling (disturbingly) has children. They are innocent in this and should NOT be punished or endangered because their mother is a bigot. Show them compassion because, clearly, their mother isn't teaching them that.

To the Trans community, we stand with you. Our sexual assaults and trauma are NOT on you. We know you experience the exact same dangers. Please, don't be scared to share your own trauma. More people are standing behind you than Rowling, I promise you that.

If you're sick of Rowling using sexual assault as a reason to oppress others, please sign this. Tell the entertainment industry that Rowling's views are not acceptable in a decent, polite society. Big corporations only speak one language - MONEY. Only when their cash flow is threatened will they EVER take action. Hit them where it hurts.
