Scrappy-Doo deserves better. Reintroduce the Scooby-Doo character in a positive way.

Scrappy-Doo deserves better. Reintroduce the Scooby-Doo character in a positive way.

In 1979, Hanna-Barbera created a new character for the Scooby-Doo franchise, Scrappy-Doo. Even though Scrappy was not well-received by Scooby-Doo fans of the 1980’s, due to having a negative impact on the 80’s Scooby-Doo TV series, the character still saved the whole franchise from cancellation before then!
Not only that, but he also had some positive character improvement in the animated movies, Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers, Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School, and Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf, in which he was depicted as much smarter, helped figure out clues and was also less feisty.
But still, Warner Bros. continues to trash-talk Scrappy to this very day, such as poking negative fun at the character in the live-action Scooby-Doo movie from 2002, the Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated TV series and the direct-to-DVD film, Scooby-Doo and the Curse of the 13th Ghost.
Now it’s time to give Scrappy-Doo the respect he deserves.
We, the fans of the Scooby-Doo franchise, are now tired of the undeserved hate against Scrappy, and he officially deserves better. I believe it’s time to reintroduce Scrappy-Doo in a positive way and give the character some changes for the better, like making him more helpful and likable just like what Hanna-Barbera did to him back in the late 1980’s.
