To Warner Bros.

We are requesting Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. to distribute a director's cut of the DC Films Suicide Squad. We are DC Comic and DC film fans and look forward to appreciate all films from the DC universe.

We accept that a lot of the changes to Suicide Squad stem from the critical response to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but that film helped generate a strong and committed fan following. We as members of this fandom have supported WB, DC Films, the cast and crew involved in providing us a movie we love. 

DC has darker content, and the David Ayer understand creatively how to bring that universe to life like no one I have ever seen.  Money and Studio politics should never outweigh the art that is being produced and what the people want. Too many times Studios have ignored great art, or have changed the Artist's vision, for a better outcome of a payday. This is completely counterintuitive to increasing revenue. No longer are the days of "If you make it, they will come." The audience is far more intelligent than that. And if this continues, no one will care what movies are being made anymore and the well will run dry. So We are requesting you to please use your voice and sign this petition so we can #Releasetheayercut and give the power back to the Artists and the people. 

We respect WB and understand that a change in direction may be what is needed for the long term success of DC Films, but we also hope that you will allow us to get closure to a story arc we love so much, before we can continue to support the films released in the future with these wonderful characters from the DC universe.

We want to put the positive case forward for allowing David Ayer to make/complete a director's cut, both for the fans and WB. However we also understand that there is enough recorded and edited material at the disposal of Warner Bros. to allow some form of a director's cut to be released on HBO MAX.
