Release the entire 31 episodes of The Banana Splits Adventure Hour to DVD/Blu-Ray.
0 have signed. Let’s get to 200!
This entire series needs to make its debut on DVD/Blu-Ray as it originally aired! It's not right that Warner Home Video had released the series on DVD in the United Kingdom, only to have it be the pared-down half hour versions of episodes for syndication. The late Earl Kress of Hanna-Barbera Productions had tried before to get this series out on DVD/Blu-Ray, but found the source materials were not to his satisfaction and that the costs of restoration would be too high. I have a feeling that the original film negatives of all 31 hour-long programs are being sat on by Warner Brothers, the present owner of the Hanna-Barbera Productions catalog. Material of the second season does exist. I know, I've seen videos of it on YouTube from user UncleCathode.
Warner Brothers needs to get cracking on gradually amassing funds to tackle this enormous restoration project, because just the debut episode being included in their DVD release Saturday Morning Cartoons 1970s-Volume 2 is just not enough for the longtime enthusiasts of Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper and Snorky! I missed out on not seeing it originally, not having been born until 1971. They should restore the Quad master tapes also with the amassed money. The opening NBC 'In Living Color' notice, Kellogg's sponsor billboard, and closing NBC logo should be left in, as well as the Hanna-Barbera HB logo.
