On behalf of many within the Mortal Kombat Fandom, I author this petition and take full responsibility for it.

My proposal- Hire Shawn Kittelsen, writer of the highly successful Mortal Kombat X prequel comics, to write the next installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Judging from the quality of the comics' story and Shawn's expressed long term love for the series and it's long standing characters as stated in interviews, I and many others feel that it would be highly beneficial to the franchise if Mr. Kittelsen were to have involvement with the storyline of the games. 

Shawn Kittelsen is a young writer, a long time fan of the series, and he could possibly bring new perspectives and ideas to the table when the next Mortal Kombat goes into pre-production.

In fact, in my personal opinion, I feel that Shawn's involvement would herald a game story in the series on par if not better than the first 3 games from the Tobias era.

So please, consider giving Shawn Kittelsen a seat at the writers' table for MK11.
