Release "LEGO The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies DLC"

Since the release of LEGO The Hobbit: The Video Game, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the concluding Hobbit movie in a DLC format, announced via a press release back at the game's release. Up until March 16th, 2015, absolutely no information or updates were provided by WB. However, as of March 16th (this petition was created on March 17th, 2015), fans have been surprised with the shocking announcement that the release of this DLC has been cancelled, and no explanation as to why it was cancelled was not, and still has not been provided. The cancellation was first announced on GameSpot. The original, controversial WB statement is as follows:

"The Lego: The Hobbit video game gives Lego and Middle-earth fans a fun, new way to experience the legendary adventures of Bilbo and company as told in the first two films of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit trilogy," the publisher said in a statement. "The game provides an excellent set-up for the concluding chapter of Peter Jackson's film, The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies. There are no plans to develop DLC based on the final film of the trilogy."

Speaking personally for a moment, I purchased a copy of the game early on, but I hesitated from playing in until after the final film had been released. That way when I would finally play it, it would seem more meaningful as the conclusion to the series. With the update that WB cancelled the DLC, I have understandably been really upset with them since.

And I know for a fact that I'm not the only one. For the past few months, I have been looking everywhere Hobbit fans lurk. So far, the biggest group I've found is located on both the Warner Brothers Games FaceBook page, and the LEGO The Hobbit FaceBook page (which currently has 410,000+ likes). On each one of those pages, there are comments on posts and posts to the page itself, demanding information and going so far as to boycott WB altogether

I urge fans of this game who have been waiting for the release of this DLC, as well as anyone else reading this petition, to sign and share this petition, and show WB that fans are outraged by this announcement. Show your support.

Note: At present, I'm not asking for financial donations for the campaign, but if you wish to donate, that money would be very much appreciated in the effort to advertise this page.
