In short: Provide the original cut of the DCEU movie 'Suicide Squad' as intended by director David Ayer when the home media (bluray etc) version of the film is released.

We, the general movie going public understand a film MUST be financially successful, a film is after all an investment. it is inevitable that a film will undergo testing in order to please the largest possible amount of people and make the film as good as can be. In most cases, this works to a films advantage, however with 'Suicide Squad' this is not necessarily the case.

A mixture of both negative feedback criticizing the overly stylized dark tone of 'Batman V Superman' and overwhelmingly positive feedback to the musical themed, lighthearted trailers for 'Suicide Squad' resulted in a 2nd cut of the film being made by 'Trailer Park' (the team behind the excellent ad campaign) in order to lighten the film's tone. This however required re-shoots for certain scenes to bridge the gaps in the new cut of the film that a re-edit could not work around.

This 'Trailer Park' cut has now become the theatrical cut of the film.

The current theatrical cut has been criticized for its:

1. Poor editing (due in part to a trailer production company not having the expertise of a film director).
2. Inconsistent tone (most likely due to last minute changes involving re-shoots).
3. Most importantly, scenes we know exist, that have been advertised heavily that are completely absent from the movie (mostly involving Jared Leto's new fresh interpretation of the Joker, most likely not used for being too dark).

This petition was created in order to show Warner Bros, that we, the fans of the DC property, wish to see and create demand for David Ayers original more sombre vision of what 'Suicide Squad' was intended to be, alongside the 2nd more lighthearted cut of the film. Warner Bros, be the studio that we, the movie audience going audience adore, allow us to posses the films as envisioned by your directors, not your accounting division (no matter what the "chart says")!
