According to a news portal, Disney has dropped Johnny Depp from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. This came in four days after Amber Heard, without naming Johnny, testified to being a victim of domestic violence. Johnny Depp's lawyer explained that this was primarily due to Amber Heard's allegations. 

A lot has happened since then, including the defamation trial in the UK and we got the learn much more about what what has really been going on behind the "scenes" in JD and AH life. 

Johnny Depp has never been charged for domestic violence, and he is not the one on trial, NGN newsgroup (the Sun) is on trial for defamation - running a story naming JD as a 'wife beater' without evidence. NGN not only ran the unreliable story, they did not even question JD about it - meaning the entire article was one sided and without credibility, which unfortunately cost JD greatly. 

Disney dropped JD, who has starred as Captain Jack Sparrow since the beginning of the franchise reportedly due to this malicious allegation and the widespread impact NGN newsgroup has as the media. This is a story of witch hunting in 2020. Guilty regardless of evidence. It's a sad and difficult year for many reasons and this injustice is such a Shame to add to the list of things that are utterly wrong this year. 

Walt Disney need to shed more light on this issue. They have a responsibility to Johnny Depp, and his fans to discuss openly about why for many of us, our childhood hero has been dropped for seemingly unfair reasons. 

If Disney have made these actions due to AH allegations, they have acted as judge, jury and executioner. They have shown a complete disregard for JD human and equal rights. 

Once again, JD has not been charged for this, and he is the one seeking justice due to this defamation, humiliation and now the loss of his famed role as CJS. 

AH is, and should be held responsible for her actions. But so should Disney. You simply cannot burn someone, because someone else said they are a witch. And that appears to be what Disney have done. 

I urge Disney to speak out publicly on this issue sooner rather than later. Explain why that have treated JD in this way, and revoke their decision to remove JD from the role of CJS. If JD had been charged criminally, and other facts had surfaced to support the claims of AH, then this would be understandable. But the reality has been the opposite. A decision on his civil court case against NGN at the time of writing has not yet even come to verdict. 

The timing, and the decision itself from Disney appears to be unfair. We want JD. He is our captain jack sparrow. 

Regardless of this media mess, or the reasons why Disney dropped Johnny as so far the reports basing this decision on it being due to AH allegations are again more media mess - the people want Johnny Depp to play this role.
